Late Vintage Buescher 400 Alto Sax in Original Lacquer – Serial # 692272. This is a very nice, late vintage Buescher 400 alto sax, serial number 692272. This alto needs a bit of work to get in perfect playing shape, and with our repair shop backed up for months, we’ve decided to let it go as-is. It will not take much to get this alto playing well. Physically the horn is in incredible shape. The original lacquer looks fantastic with minimal wear. There are a couple tiny pings here and there, but no serious dents or past damage. The original neck with underslung octave key is also in great shape. Pads are actually in very good shape, fitted with brown plastic resonators. However, there are some keywork issues, where a couple keys are either bent or out of adjustment. The sax could use a solid regulation. You may need to replace a couple pads, but most will be good for a long time to come. Ships in a hard case. Please see the stated policies on our website for more details.
