Britone 1950’s Five Star model Alto Saxophone Sax mouthpiece. Very interesting Britone in very good physical condition apart from the logo is slightly faded from ligature use. 082 on my digital tip gauge. Good fun to play – with a Rico Select 2S reed has strong attack, a thick tone and is immediately responsive. There is a small chip in the bite-plate (see pic) but you won’t notice with a patch, and Ed Pillinger can easily fix this. By fitting a new plate – last time I got this done he only charged about 30 quid or so. PLEASE NOTE: due to the ivory colour my camera would not focus as the light just diffuses from it due to the colour. My best but these are the best shots I could manage with my rather old digital camera, but rest assured this. In better condition than you may be able to tell from the pics.
