Walton’Leslie Evans’ alto sax mouthpiece. Hard Rubber, 85 tip (equivalent to Link 8). This an excellent mouthpiece made by JF Walton. Leslie Evans was a very well known teacher of saxophone in UK for many years-famous in the’universe of saxophonia’ for his postal courses. Walton made some very fine mouthpieces long before Geoff Lawton had started. This is a punchy piece with a smallish chamber, and a strong focussed mid tone: dark and mellow if blown that way, but happier with a more attacking focussed line. A rare and interesting piece.
