Brilhart Hard Rubber FREDDIE GREGORY REFACE Alto Sax Mouthpiece 6. This mouthpiece is beautifully refaced by the late legendary saxophone mouthpiece maker/refacer, Freddie Gregory. If you’re familiar with his mouthpieces, you know the attention to detail and precision he cared about with all of his work. This piece plays with a lush, dark sound with a ton of warm complexity. It can handle quite a bit of air and has always felt larger than some of my 7’s, so I would wage to say it’s a little larger than a typical 6. It’s signed by Gregory and remarked to 6 by his name (it was originally a “3, ” as you can see marked on the top of the piece). Tip is in perfect shape, with a couple marks on the table that don’t affect the reed seal in the slightest. If you’ve been looking for a vintage Hard Rubber Brilhart in amazing shape, complete with a stellar reface, look no further! Please message me with any questions or for additional photos.
