1928 Conn New Wonder II alto sax in original silverplate. These may be the original pads. Its sat unplayed for decades and of course needs a full overhaul to be playable again. It is not currently playable. Very well cared for horn that will absolutely shine as a looker and player once completed. The one tiny thing I can find to mention is its missing one of the octave lever guides as shown in the 11th photo. Most brands don’t put a guide there and it will be easily addressed when you have it overhauled. Case is original and free of any musty odors as is the horn. Once overhauled you will have one of the great alto models ever made. I’ve played Chu altos a lot, currently I play a New Wonder I and there is just something remarkable about the quality and tonal quality of these horns. Show this to your tech, they should be thrilled to have a chance to restore it. Listentomusic is now JWsaxophone.
