Since Ive had this sax, Ive used it for both solo and orchestral playing as it has the great ability to shine and stand out, but also blend beautifully with the texture of a wind band or orchestra. I have also used this sax in the jazz world, in the professional scene at Londons Ronnie Scotts jazz club and as a jazz soloist elsewhere, in both settings this sax performed great. It allowed me to express my ideas securely but freely, which to me is the best combination, especially in improvisation! Whats more, due to the fine craftsmanship behind this sax, it will last decades if looked after, you just have to look at the famous Mk VI which were made to a similar quality and durability. I bought this sax 2 years ago but dont use it regularly, ie. Once every two months. This is due to most of my work being in tenor and soprano sax. That been said, it has been fully serviced and maintained by an accredited selmer stockist and technician. The only small imperfections are a few small scratches on the cage around the bottom d#/eb key, and around the serial number area, as you can see on the photos. Both these imperfections are minimal and hard to see without being prior told! Apart from those, this sax is in perfect condition and is perfect for a player who wants the quality, new sax feeling, but doesnt want to pay the new sax price!
