This is a stand out piece, it plays and sounds great! It is a very fine playing Early 70s alto Link, check out the shank, the milling marks on the table, and the deeply stamped large USA font, this is from the earliest series of EBs, and this one really does sound good. 087, which is what it measured originally. The great tech Mojo cleaned up the wear from the piece rolling around the case. The piece was not refaced, it received the minimal attention to return it to its full glory, all the measurements are spot on. Mojo has marked the facing curve specs on the side. The great tone of this piece comes from the terrific baffle, the facing curve, and the high quality rubber the blank was made with, it plays as good as any NY Meyer in this tip opening, it has a beautiful sound with focus and the right amount of edge for alto, it’s a superb alto piece that needs to be played.
