Vigilante NY II Alto Sax Mouthpiece Size 6. Hi I’m smooth jazz saxophonist Chris Godber. This amazing mouthpiece is a Vigilante NY II (Guardala King) handmade by Jennifer Price who used to work with and make Dave Guardala’s famous pieces… You can read on that online. She didn’t want to be associated with Guardala after his bad press so she started her own company almost 10 years ago VigilanteMoithpiece. Com she calls her models different things, but if you go to her website you can see the various models for alto, tenor and baritone. I’ve been playing her pieces since 2013 and she is one of the best mouthpiece makers out there. She made several for Paul Taylor who is also playing her Alto mouthpiece, this was one of several pieces that was made for him and I handpicked it for myself several years ago after he picked a different model. I don’t have a tip guage but was told this was about a size 6 and it plays like such. Very free blowing and quite bright as it’s a high baffle piece with the bullet chamber same as a Guardala King. It’s never been worked on since new and has no nicks or teeth marks. Comes with original ligature and a berg larson cap.
