Vintage King Zephyr Alto Saxophone in original hard case – JUST overhauled, fantastic player with legit tone. Want to make this easy. If you get the horn and decide you don’t like it for any reason, just send it back. Instrument Condition: The overall physical condition of this used instrument is Good. This instrument is great playing condition. It has roughly 75% of the re-lacquered finish still in good condition. Lacquer has turned a beautiful amber gold color. Several areas of delamination of the finish in normal wear areas. Normal wear on keys and other areas that are touched the most. Very clean, no dents, just some finish wear and a small ding or two. Pad Condition: Pads are brand new. This horn has just had a fresh complete overhaul performs VERY well, no leaks, fantastic tone with dynamics from sweet to edgy – and great intonation top to bottom. The Neck: original double socket neck. The Mouthpiece: original King Equa Tru mouthpiece is included – has severe bite marks, but does play well though. The Case: Original case in good cosmetic condition. The inside is in nice shape, and all the latches, hinges and the handle works great. Re-soldered: none that I can see. Engraving: engraving looks fair, this a relaquered horn. Bell says “King Zephyr HN White”, etc. Serial number is pretty much note legible due to the buffing after the relacquer. I can make out “303” from the serial number area, but I’m not sure if that would have been the beginning or end of the number. Additional Information: Needs nothing. Beautiful horn even as an older relacquer, it looks really great. I’m getting married later this month and I need to pay for this wedding and I have too many horns in my collection at the moment.
